daily<\/strong>, <strong>children aged 3\u20138 years<\/strong> take a dose of <strong>2x 8 ml daily<\/strong>, and <strong>children aged 8 and over<\/strong> and <strong>adults<\/strong> take a dose of <strong>2x 10 ml daily<\/strong> orally.<\/p>\n<p>The phage cocktail is taken orally <strong>twice daily, 15 minutes<\/strong> after a meal.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, either <strong>omeprazole 15 min<\/strong> before taking the phage cocktail is taken, or a glass of <strong>water (250 ml)<\/strong> in which <strong>1\/2 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)<\/strong> has been dissolved is drunk, in each case about <strong>15 min before taking the phage cocktail<\/strong> (or according to the manufacturer\u2019s instructions for the baking soda).<\/p>\n<p>This reduces the stomach\u2019s pH level in order to increase the survival rate of the phages on their way to the urinary bladder. <strong>The duration of use is approx. 14 days.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During treatment, an alkaline diet is followed and plenty of water is drunk (approx. 2 L\/day).<\/p>\n<p>If oral use is not successful, irrigation of the bone or joint with the phage cocktail is often performed in
