Considering the antimicrobial resistance of K. pneumoniae and the dysbiosis caused by antibiotics, phage therapy could have potential for the treatment of HiAlc Kpn-induced NAFLD due to its specificity in targeting the bacteria. The efficacy of phage therapy was evaluated in male mice with HiAlc Kpn-induced steatohepatitis.
