Dit monster wordt onderzocht op aanwezige bacteri\u00ebn. De gevonden bacteri\u00ebn worden op een agarplaat gekweekt en blootgesteld aan verschillende antibiotica. Bij gebruik van een standaarddosering en -toediening is er een hoge waarschijnlijkheid van therapeutisch succes. <\/p>\n<p><strong>I:<\/strong> Gevoelig bij verhoogde blootstelling (&#8220;Increased&#8221;). Voorheen ook wel aangeduid als intermediaire gevoeligheid. Er bestaat een mogelijkheid op therapeutisch succes wanneer op de plaats van de infectie een hogere blootstelling van de verwekker aan de werkzame stof wordt bereikt, bijv. door een aangepaste (hogere) dosering of een andere toedieningsvorm (i.v. in plaats van oraal).  <\/p>\n<p><strong>R:<\/strong> Het micro-organisme is resistent tegen het geteste antibioticum.
